Leah Seifert, M.S., CCC-SLP
Leah Cox Seifert, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and completed her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from St. Cloud State University. She has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist for 28 years.
Leah has worked with children and adults in outpatient, inpatient, and school settings. She has additional certifications and training in Beckman oral-motor therapy and myofacial release, VitalStim, LSVT-LOUD, Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding Therapy, Kaufmann Speech Apraxia approach, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. In addition, she works with children and adults with dysphagia, oral aversion, apraxia, articulation, phonological disorder, phonemic awareness and dyslexia, voice disorders, stuttering, expressive and receptive language impairments, and complex communication disorders needing augmentative and alternative communication devices. Some of the diagnoses, she has experience with include autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Angelman syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, developmental cognitive impairments, tethered oral tissue, deaf and hard of hearing, cleft lip and palate, and traumatic brain injury.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time with her family biking, playing pickleball, traveling, and cheering on our favorite women’s sports teams!
Leah is thrilled to be stepping into a new adventure by starting rehabilitation services at New Kingdom Healthcare.
